Ontinue Reports 2025 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Results, Advancing SBTi-Validated Climate Commitments
PR Newswire
ZURICH, Switzerland, Sept. 15, 2026
ZURICH, Switzerland, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ontinue, a leading MXDR partner providing nonstop managed security operations through its Agentic SOC, today published the results of its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory. The report shows continued progress toward the company's SBTi-validated near-term and net-zero targets, including a 2.5% year-over-year reduction in Scope 2 emissions tied to the optimization of Ontinue's global office footprint.
Total emissions across Scopes rose by approximately 3% compared to 2024. Ontinue attributes the increase to two factors: continued business growth that increased employee business travel, and a planned methodology upgrade that moved fuel and energy-related activity accounting from a spend-based to an activity-based approach. The latter change improves the precision of Ontinue's emissions data and reflects the kind of reporting maturity SBTi expects companies to build over time.
"We're growing as a business and we're measuring that growth more precisely than we used to," said Moritz Mann, Chief Executive Officer of Ontinue. We're pleased to see that we're still making real headway on the parts of our footprint we control directly."
2025 Emissions Breakdown
As in prior years, Scope 3 continues to represent the substantial majority of Ontinue's footprint, reflecting the company's office-based, software-led business model. Scope 1 emissions remained at zero, and Scope 2 emissions totaled 12.59 tCO₂e on a location-based basis, down from the prior year as Ontinue continued to streamline its office locations.
Continued Alignment with Science-Based Targets
Ontinue's near-term targets for Scopes 1 and 2, and its long-term net-zero target across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, remain validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the global authority that enables companies to set emissions reduction targets in line with climate science and the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting warming to 1.5°C.
Ontinue's sustainability strategy continues to focus on decarbonizing its own operations, working with suppliers and partners on shared reductions, and reporting progress transparently. Looking ahead, the company plans to extend the activity-based measurement approach it applied to fuel and energy-related activities in 2025 to its purchased goods and services category, its largest source of emissions, beginning with its highest-spend suppliers.
