Your Online Publicist is an author-based publication striving to give its clients a wider reach. Vision is balanced with practicality to create a tandem that works for both the authors and their potential audience. This time, Your Online Publicist brings you Dessie Williams' heartfelt tale entitled “His Wonders to Perform.”

“His Wonders to Perform” starts with Anna and Willie Horne, Dessie's parents, and how both of them started to create a family that centered on God Almighty. They also adopted her cousin, Robert Battle. Inspired by faith, this story proceeds to recount the wondrous roller coaster ride of Robert Battle's very own battle to success.

Who would have thought that someone from humble beginnings would end up becoming a renowned artistic director of America's Cultural Ambassador to the World, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater?

God is truly merciful and kind to those who have faith in Him.

Dessie Williams is a magnificent storyteller, able to convey the harshness of reality as much as the joy of hopeful hearts. Though coming from destitute backgrounds, her parents taught them the courage to face life, the strength to overcome difficulties, and most of all, the faith to make dreams come true.

About the Author
Dessie Horne Williams is a retired English teacher who plied her trade in the Miami-Dade school system for thirty-two years. A 1957 graduate of Tallahassee's Florida A&M University, Mrs. Williams is the mother of two adult biological children and one “adopted” son, her cousin Robert Louis Battle. A lover of all things artistic, Wiliams has devoted much of her life to the pursuit of the joys found in literature, music, and the performing arts, and considers a moment during a sixties Q and A session when her idol Bette Davis answered her question one of the high points of her life. Currently residing in Miami, Florida, Williams is and has been, for the past fifty years, the minister of music at the Wactor Temple African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
